<description>As a freelance design for The University of Chicago, I worked with the newly formed Becker Friedman Institute to develop an identity
system and overview brochure. The institute is an intellectual destination for economic scholars and provides opportunities for cross disciplinary research. A thorough exploration of marks was presented that emphasize the institute’s rigorous, empirical research and it’s innovative and collaborative environment.

They needed an update to their 40-year-old identity. I updated the color palette and design new business stationery that would appeal to a diverse, international user group of employees, members and board chairs.

Openlands celebrated the opening of their Lakeshore Preserve with an afternoon by the water. A French theme, inspired by Seurat’s A Sunday on the La Grande Jatte, dictated the design of the save the date and invitation suite. Sweeping landscape images showcase the newly finished preserve on the shores of Lake Michigan.

First Chicago Bank and Trust approached Hennessy Design Group to refocus their brand. I came on as a freelancer to lead the rebrand
and execute new materials. Extensive research resulted in a new tag line, updated color palette, business stationery, and logo standards.
A direct mail campaign, web banners, and personal and business banking brochures reinforced their commitment to community and a
personal experience for their customers.

<description>As an in-house designer for The Nature Conservancy I designed fundraising and donor communications materials from event invitations to annual reports. A focus on international, on-the-ground conservation work, the design is dependent on quality photography specific to place, people, and conservation science.

With Tandemodus, I designed the invitation and program for the Chicago Opening of Design for a Living World, an exhibition showcasing the work of 10 acclaimed designers. Commissioned by the Conservancy to create products from sustainable natural resources, the designers made functional objects showcasing our human connection to the Earth. The invite folds open to a 14 x 20" poster, featuring all 10 designers and their work.
